Tour program
Mount Armagan is an extinct volcano at an altitude of 2,811 m above sea level, located in Gegharkunik province. It will not be difficult to conquer this mountain, even by SUV you can get to the top, but it is best to get there on foot, because the road there is very easy and indescribably beautiful. Unlike the arid semi-desert landscapes of Southern Armenia, the Gegham Mountains are green and lush. At the top of the mountain there is a small volcanic lake called Armagan, which has a diameter of 100 m and partially fills a volcanic crater. Locals say that Mount Armagan is a gift from God, and having been here once, you will definitely come back. There are many great photo opportunities. In 2009, a new domed basalt church was built on top of the mountain, called the Armagan Church. There is a beautiful legend about Mount Armagan – they say heavenly fairies descend from the sky to drink water from the lake. So that they remain invisible to people, at this moment the top of the mountain is completely covered with fog.
