Climbing Mount Aragats (southern peak)

To visit a mountainous country and not conquer at least one mountain is unacceptable. Aragats was once one of the largest volcanoes in the world. It has a giant crater with a depth of 400 m, a diameter of 3 km and 4 peaks — it has four peaks, of which the highest is the Northern (4090m), and the lowest is the Southern (3879m), which we will conquer as part of this tour. The mountain and its surroundings are wrapped in snow almost all year round. The best time of the year to visit is spring (March, April, May), since at this time of the year the difficulties with reaching the Southern peak of Aragats are much lower. At this time of the year, the snow partially melts, so you can see the Stone Lake (Kari Lich), one of the crystal clear mountain lakes of Armenia. The beauty of the lake is greatly emphasized by the surrounding alpine meadows, a variety of flowers, mountain fresh air and views of the snowy peaks of Aragats. Unlike the Northern Peak, the conquest of which implies special training, the Southern peak is much easier to overcome, especially if you have reliable instructors like ours with you. In addition to the conquest of Aragats, during the tour we will also visit the proudly majestic Amberd fortress, and the alley of the Armenian Alphabet.
