During this tour, we will discover the blue wonder of Armenia, Lake Sevan hidden among the high mountains, the largest of the lakes of the Caucasus. This freshwater alpine lake, located at an altitude of more than 1,900 meters (6,234 ft) and vital for fishing, tourism, agriculture and other industries of Armenia On the ridge above the lake is the Sevanavank Monastery - a wonderful place with exceptional views! The area of Lake Sevan is located at a very high altitude, and to get to the monastery you have to overcome 200 steps. Then the road leads us to Hayravank. The monastery is located in a picturesque area on a hill near Lake Sevan. The windows offer stunning views of the lake and its surroundings. The monastery complex includes a church, a chapel and a small vestibule. The various buildings of the complex were erected at different times, from the 9th to the 12th centuries. Then we head to the city of Noratus, which is known for its incredible cemetery, where, on top of a green plateau, you can see an anarchically disorderly collection of tombs and tombstones carved in the traditional Armenian style. They are known as "khachkars". Some of them with inscriptions engraved on stone using ancient techniques date back to the 10th century and are incredibly well preserved.
