Lake Sevan, Sevanavank Monastery, Dilijan (short stop), Goshavank Monastery, Haghartsin Monastery

Begin your day at Lake Sevan, the “pearl” of Armenia and one of the largest high-altitude freshwater lakes in Eurasia. Visit Sevanavank Monastery, located on the Sevan Peninsula, offering spectacular views of the lake. Though currently functioning as a religious seminary, the site remains a highlight for visitors.

Next, proceed to Dilijan, often called the “Armenian Switzerland” due to its lush forests and scenic landscapes. The town lies within Dilijan National Park, a protected natural area.

Continue to Goshavank Monastery, nestled among verdant surroundings, followed by a visit to Haghartsin Monastery, a 10th-century complex recently restored thanks to the generous donation of Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah, who was deeply impressed by its beauty.

Echmiadzin (Mother Cathedral, St. Hripsime, St. Gayane), Zvartnots

This cultural tour takes you to several UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites. Begin with the churches of St. Hripsime and St. Gayane, two of the three historic churches in Echmiadzin, dedicated to early Christian women martyrs who fled Rome with their abbess Gayane.

Next, visit the Echmiadzin Mother Cathedral, the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the world’s first Christian cathedral.

Conclude your day at the ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral, a 7th-century architectural masterpiece and one of the tallest buildings of its era.
