Yerevan -Signaghi -Tbilisi

We will start our trip in Georgia by exploring the eastern part of the country to discover the Kakheti region, the cradle of Georgian winemaking. The first destination is the Bodbe Monastery, where Saint Nino was buried. She is the "Enlightener of Georgia", who preached Christianity in Georgia with a vine cross in her hand. Bodbe Monastery is located among tall cypresses on a steep hillside overlooking the Alazani Valley, offering breathtaking views of the Caucasian Ridge. Next, we will discover the city of love – Sighnaghi, the romantic atmosphere, many cozy restaurants and hotels, the magnificent scenery and seclusion of the city make it attractive for honeymoons, family picnics and just a relaxing holiday away from the bustling metropolis. We will also have the opportunity to see the second largest wall in the world, built in the 12th century. This is a unique place to enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Caucasus Mountains and the Alazani Valley. After the tour, we return back to Tbilisi to enjoy a free evening in the city.

We start our excursion day from the old town. Here in small cozy courtyards, you will feel the real flavor of Georgia. During the tour we will visit the Narikala Fortress built in the IV century, the ruins of which are considered one of the main attractions of Georgia and offer one of the best views in the city. We will also visit the area of sulfur baths. One of the first three districts of ancient Tbilisi. Here we will see the bathhouse that Pushkin and Dumas loved to visit. We will take a walk along the Peace Bridge, walk along Rustaveli Street and Chardin Square, where there are always a lot of young people and life is constantly boiling, we will also taste Georgian cuisine. But the cherry of the day will be an evening flight on a cable car (optional), during which the whole city with lit lights will open in front of you in all its glory.

Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Jvari Monastery - Sveritskhoveli - Tbilisi

On the second day we are going to the religious center of Georgia. This region was the home of the gods and their earthly incarnations - priests, chiefs and kings. Each layer of the earth preserves the memory of epochs. The region stood at the crossroads of cultures. The significance of this highway was to connect east and west. This rocky road still retains clear traces of wheeled vehicles that have been moving here for centuries. The city of Mtskheta is located on the banks of the Aragvi and Kura rivers, the confluence of which is clearly visible due to the difference in the color of the water. Jvari Monastery. it stands on the top of a rocky mountain at the confluence of these rivers. The name of this monastery translates as "Monastery of the Cross", and it is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. We will also visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (literally translated as the life-giving pillar), which is currently the second largest church in Georgia (after the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity). Known as the burial place of the clothes of Christ, Svetitskhoveli was one of the main Georgian Orthodox churches and is one of the most revered places of worship in the region. After the tour, we will return to Yerevan, taking with us such vivid impressions.
